Not only are some foods made of starch or contain starch as a functional ingredient, but they can also contain sugars made from starches. Starches play a very important role in the foods you eat everyday. You would be surprised how many of the processed foods you eat on a daily basis that contain them in some form or another. Start looking at the ingredient labels of the foods you enjoy and see if you can spot them.
