Safe Food Handling

Temperatures
Hi Everyone,
Something happened this week in Brussel’s that concerned me greatly. A young man of 20 lost his life after eating pasta & sauce that he had kept on the bench for 5 days before consuming. https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/health/health-problems/student-dies-after-eating-five-day-old-pasta-that-had-been-left-out/news-story/7ff43203f285cd23217f54c5a103f4fd
As a mother I implore you to teach your children about safe food handling. Please take a few minutes to read this page, Food Poisoning and Safe Food Handling. It has the basic information that everyone should know on how to keep food safe. This is essential knowledge when it comes to feeding your family and friends.
It’s so important that as our children get older and especially when they leave home, that they know the basics of food safety. Keep your cold food cold (<5c) and your hot food hot (>60c) and for goodness sakes, don’t store your pasta on the bench for 5 days before you eat it.
