Bolognese Stuffed Mushrooms.

Mushrooms are just the best. You can do all sorts of things with them. One of the easiest recipes to make is to use large mushrooms and stuff them with your favourite fillings, top with cheese and then bake till they are tasty and delicious. 

I always have a container of Bolognese Sauce in my freezer ready for a quick meal for me or the kids. I used the sauce to top these large mushrooms. A quick sprinkle of parmesan cheese,  and they are ready to go.

  • 4 large mushrooms
  • 1 cup Bolognese sauce
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese shredded

  1. Preheat oven to 180c. Line a baking tray with baking paper. 
  2. Wash and dry the mushrooms. Remove any excess steam with a sharp knife and chop into small pieces. Mix through the Bolognese sauce. 
  3. Top each mushroom with bolognese sauce and a sprinkling of parmesan cheese. Place each mushroom apart on the baking tray.  
  4. Place into the oven and bake at 180 for 20 minutes until the mushroom is soft and the cheese is melted and browned. Serve immediately.
