Easy Bolognese is easy to make, delicious and an absolute staple in our home. The kids have theirs on pasta as a base and I use steamed broccoli for mine. This way is really simple using premade Bolognese Sauce. The Leggo’s sauces are the lowest carb I could find so I always keep a few bottles on hand. I usually simmer my sauce for at least 10 -15 minutes to develop the flavour and this bolognese is perfect for making the day before as the flavour gets even better overnight. Once cooled I freeze extra in portions in clip lock bags so it’s easy to defrost when we need a quick meal. When divided into 8 portions, this recipe has 5.4g per portion. Enjoy!!!
- 500g Beef, Veal & Pork or Pork Mince
- 500ml Pasta Sauce
- 400ml Water
Brown the mince in a small or medium saucepan over medium to high heat. Once the mince is browned, add the bottle of pasta sauce to the mince. Fill the bottle half way with water, put on lid and shake. Add the pasta sauce water to the pan and stir well, pop on the lid and bring to simmer. Turn the heat down once simmering to allow the mince to cook gently. Simmer for 10 minutes stirring well every few minutes to prevent sticking.
